A Discovery Task can be placed in the system for an unassigned prospect to give a development officer 90 days to complete discovery and qualification work.  No officer should initiate activity on a prospect with an open Discovery Task without first contacting the tasked officer.

Discovery Tasks are managed by the Office of Prospect Management and Research (PM&R).  PM&R reserves the right to cancel overdue discovery tasks and return prospects to the unassigned pool.  To add, edit, and complete open Discovery Tasks, contact PM&R at dev-prospect@virginia.edu.
